Despite mentioning that West Ham threat, Arne Slot was keen to highlight his Liverpool side’s strong performance. Once again to Sky Sports, he said:
💬 “I feel like we had control in most parts of the game. We had large parts of ball possession, especially in the first half.
“In the second half, we were there creating a few chances before we scored (to make it) 3-1 from Mo (Salah).
“That was a great team goal and then it was Cody time! He deserved that, like the others deserved it as well. Darwin (Nunez) worked really hard, but it was good to see Cody with such a fantastic shot.
“He also had a very important clearance in his own 18-yard box. That’s what I like to see.”
