C.J. Stroud was happy after Sunday’s road victory over the Colts, but he was also eager to fix some things for the future.
The Texans triumphed, 29-27, at Indianapolis, and Stroud completed 24-of-32 passes for 234 yards with a pair of touchdown passes. Both those scoring strikes went to Stefon Diggs, and Stroud completed the day with a passer rating of 115.9. It was the second victory for Stroud at Lucas Oil Stadium in as many games. There was much to celebrate, but Stroud also had a critical eye on some areas for improvement.
“We definitely did have a ton of great things, but we definitely have some things to work on,” Stroud said. “But this is Week 1. Everybody’s rusty.”
Stroud guided the Texans to scoring drives on six of their 10 possessions. He and the Texans didn’t turn the ball over either, and the offense rumbled for 213 yards on 40 carries.
